I'm a self-confessed chocaholic and it's my biggest hurdle when I'm training to get leaner. When I was younger, I could cut a few corners on my nutrition, train for 3-4 weeks and be in great shape. However, as I'm getting older, this tactic just isn't working.

It's a sad fact of life that as you age, your metabolism slows down. Unfortunately, after your mid-20's, everything's on a downward trend and it becomes harder to stay in shape. Not impossible - just harder.

Unless you have 10+ hours/week to dedicate to your training, you've got to be smarter in the way you manage your lifestyle. There's an old saying that "abs are born in the kitchen, not the gym". It's true! As I said earlier, my diet is not exactly on point and I love a sweet treat. This is not a winning formula to get in shape.

Knowing my weakness and shocking lack of self-discipline, our friends from PowerbitesUK sent over some samples of nutritional scrumminess to satisfy my sweet tooth. They were absolutely delicious and I have to say, the cacao & almond energy balls are to die for. They're bloody amazing and I challenge you not to eat more than one!

If you're looking for healthy snacks, which don't taste like cardboard and are actually quite good for you, check out www.powerbitesuk.com. You won't be disappointed!
