Stephen Black is the CEO of Rocky Mountain Human Performance Center in Boulder, Colorado. Steve has 20+ years’ experience in the health and wellness industry. He has travelled the world promoting healthy lifestyles and providing expert insight and research in areas related to rehabilitation, fitness and sports specific training. He has worked with professional teams including NFL, NBA, NHL, WNBA and ABL/NBL affiliates.
Steve is a much sought after and respected presenter to the health and wellness industry. He serves as an advisor to several organizations and non-profit entities.
Throughout his career as an amateur athlete Steve has endorsed, marketed and utilized products and services that are ethical, safe and scientifically proven to safely assist athletes in performance, recovery and overall health.
He has been fortunate to endorse products such as Hammer Nutrition, PowerBar, Sugoi, Skins, Suunto and others. He has been involved in wear testing for Newton, Saucony, Brooks and Adidas. As a human factors expert Steve has worked with various companies including Life Fitness, CYBEX, Quantum and Technogym. Current research projects include Skins, ALCiS and Newton.
Some of Steve's current advisory positions include the Medical Fitness Association, and the Ironman Medical committee. He is also an associate professor at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.
In his spare time Steve enjoys recreational activities such as running, cycling, swimming, skiing and experiential activities that lead to a balanced /integrated lifestyle. He has completed multiple endurance events including the Ironman World Championship in Kona, HI. Steve's passion is in assisting others achieve the lifestyle they aspire to.
